though I’m named after a fairly well known Jazz musician, I’ve always had a true yin-yang type of relationship with the genre itself.   for every record or musician that I enjoy, there’s another artist or record that I equally dislike.  recently, i came across flautist Bobbi Humphrey and the music spoke to me like no other jazz music has ever before (i’ll attribute that to humphrey’s funk infused sound).  as you get into humphrey’s body of work, you’re sure to find instrumentation from some of your favorite hip-hop tracks.  i figured i’d share my findings with The People, so click the link below for your listening pleasure…
